Has anybody ever read the book Jubilee??? I kind of just remembered I have a quiz on the first five chapters tomorrow, and I went to the library and it was checked out. And everybody in my class is a slack and didn't bother getting or reading the book either. So if you have ever read the book or hey if you even know the authors name or generally what its about that would help. Thanks

Surgery: Surgery is an important part of treatment for many women with breast cancer. Many women can choose between lumpectomy or mastectomy.

Lumpectomy is breast-conserving surgery in which just the tumor and some surrounding normal tissue are removed. Often, some lymph nodes in the underarm area are also removed.

Mastectomy is the removal of part of the breast (called a partial mastectomy) or all of the breast (total mastectomy), the lymph nodes in the underarm area, sometimes the lining over the chest muscles, and sometimes part of the chest wall muscles.

Radiation therapy: Radiation therapy is often used after lumpectomy and partial mastectomy to kill any cancer cells that may not have been removed during surgery.

Chemotherapy: Cytotoxic chemotherapy is treatment with drugs that attack and kill cancer cells and some rapidly growing normal cells, such as the cells in the hair follicles.

Hormonal treatment: Hormonal treatment is a common way of treating breast cancer in women whose tumors are hormone receptor-positive. These drugs can block the effect of estrogen or reduce estrogen levels, thereby reducing the risk of cancer coming back (recurrence).
For information on treatment for advanced breast cancer, see For patients with advanced breast cancer.

What is adjuvant therapy?

The term "adjuvant" means "in addition to." With breast cancer treatment, this means that in addition to your primary (or initial) treatment, another type of therapy is being used. Radiation therapy, cytotoxic chemotherapy, and hormonal treatment are three common forms of adjuvant treatment. Here is why you might need adjuvant treatment:

After surgery, a small number of cancer cells may still remain in your body.

Not all patients have these cells, but if you do, they can continue to multiply and spread.

Adjuvant therapy is given to prevent or delay these cells from multiplying.

The benefits of adjuvant therapy in breast cancer may include a decreased chance the cancer will come back or recur.

I have had such a great break I absolutely had a blast, so I'm going to give you an update whether you want one or not ;)

First of all my grandma and grandpa came into town and have been here and its been a lot of fun. They spoil me to death, and I'm going to miss them when they leave in two days. We went to a lot of christmas shows downtown and have down lots of shopping and all of that fun stuff.

Christmas was nice I went to my aunts house. I got a trip to Florida :) tennis shoes, jewlery, clothes and all that fun stuff.

Now the real fun starts December 26. I left for my Holiday training hell week trip in florida with my swim team. We were gone for 7 days trainig and being tough :) I went knowing 5 people and came home knowing about 20 more. It was amazingly fun. We went to Universal Studio's, played laser tag in a building that was upside down for example the floor was on the ceiling and the we were walking on the ceiling it was crazy, went on Go-Karts(it was a four level track), ate a whole bunch of good food, went shopping and trained like crazy. THe week was draining but it was a lot of fun. And its finally over. And the best news is I GOT A TAN ... me Christina Griffin got a tan :) its pretty sweet, excpet its a thick strap one suit tan haha but w/e I'm happy. But I recommend that all of you go to Universal Studio's it was awesome.

New Years Eve sucked ass though :( We woke up and went to Univeral then left at 4 o clock and came baack to the hotel and went out to eat. Then we hung out at the hotel. It was all going good until about 10:30. ALl of the girls came to my hotel room and we had a dance party, it was a blast, but the boys wanted to come in but they wern't allowed b/e boys and girls are not allowed in the same room, so we decided to go in this bigh dance room downstairs, but the our coach got pissed or something happened and made us all go back to our rooms and be in bed by 11. It sucked, but our room stayed up until midnight anyways and drank sprakling cider :) and went to bed. haha-

Now I'm home, and I have a new obsession with Queen. lol

Hey, I really havn't updated this thing in a while. So i guess today is my lucky day to do so. lol
lets see...
topic numero uno
**house- we FINALLY moved into our house, its ALL DONE. :-D you have no idea how nice it is to have a room to yourself again. ITs wonderful. I painted my room HOT PINK, and I'm basically in love with it.

topic deux
SCHOOL. School suckks and I hate it. And i think it should die. Although if I say so my self I'm getting awesome grades... Human Anatomy -100 P.E-100 French 3- 95 English- 98 Color gurad- 93<-- lowest grade, Im protesting. Sports med- 96 Algebra 2-100 Go me. Im excited. Powederpuff football is coming up soon, and I reckon I outta play. haha :P

topic Trois
Swimming. It's hard, and I believe this also should die. I spend pretty much all of my free time swimming. and that gets old real fast. And instead of going to Michigan for christmas, my grandma is coming in from Arizona, and wants to see me, so since there is a "HELL WEEK" camp for swimming over break in orlando for 4 days, my parents want me to go to that. So I'm basically dissapointed about that.

topic quatre
Friends- I miss you guys... like freakin fat people miss food. I'm calling Jonesy tonight:-D yay i miss her.

Boys - I gotta prom date :-D yay. I'm thrilled.

Thats all. I'm done. Have a nice day.

P.s I love all of my lil nasties :-D

Question of the week- Would you ever date someone that is a different race than yours? Answer. And tell me.
